In the early days of the Lunar New Year 2025, the working atmosphere at Chu Lai Port becomes active. Ship after ship docking signals a strong growth in import-export volumes through the port.

On the first day of the Lunar New Year (January 29), the port welcomed the Maltese CNC PLUTO vessel from CMA-CGM, transporting nearly 300 containers of import-export goods, including components, electronic devices, and plastic packaging. The route covered: Chu Lai (Vietnam) - Laem Chabang (Thailand) - Manila (the Philippines) - Tokyo/Yokohama/Nagoya/Kobe (Japan) - Busan/Gwangyang (South Korea) - Kaohsiung (China).

Over 400 goods containers are exported from Chu Lai Port to countries during the Lunar New Year days

In the first five days of the Lunar New Year, Chu Lai Port handled over 400 export containers, including industrial products, fresh fruits, agricultural produce, components, spare parts, furniture, finished automobiles, and motorcycles. These goods were transported to major markets such as China, South Korea, Japan, India, and connected to North America and the Middle East.

THACO's Sub-holdings also make their first shipments at the beginning of 2025

After launching the 50,000-DWT berth with modern lifting and handling equipment, the port has increased its cargo clearance capacity to nearly 100 containers per hour, three times more than before.

Since January 2025, THILOGI (owner of Chu Lai Port) has begun dredging the existing channel to a depth of 9.3m to be operational by the end of Q1 2025. The Group will continue strengthening cooperation, inviting international shipping lines to open direct maritime routes from Chu Lai, aiming to develop an international logistics hub in Quang Nam, and increasing global trade for local businesses.
