In the first six months of the year, the production output reached over 48,100 vehicles, including 24,910 trucks, buses and 23,190 passenger cars. The auto sales reached 47,018 vehicles, equal to 26,558 billion VND. THACO's first 6-month budget was 7,882 billion VND, of which the Complex contributed 6,898 billion VND, 6,468 billion VND of which was submitted to Quang Nam.

It is expected that in the second half of the year, the Complex will produce 42,330 vehicles, 90,470 vehicles for the entire year. In addition, it will continue to invest, upgrade existing plants and accelerate the progress of major projects in Chu Lai Complex, including:
- THACO Bus Plant (investment capital: 1,200 billion VND, expected to be put into production in September 2017);
- THACO Mazda car plant (a capacity of 100,000 cars / year, scheduled to commemorate on the 43th anniversary of Quang Nam Province's liberation - 24/3/2018);

And other new projects: High-grade Specialized Bus Plant (a capacity of 1,000 vehicles / year); Bus Chassis Plant (a capacity of 8,000 products / year); THACO Peugeot Passenger Car Plant (a capacity of 10,000 vehicles / year); Plastic Parts Plant (a capacity of 165,000 sets / year); Agricultural Machinery Plant (a capacity of 2,000 products / year); Truck and Bus Air Conditioning Joint Venture (a capacity of 40,000 air conditioners / year); Exhaust Pipe Plant (a capacity of 150,000 pipes / year); etc.

In addition, Chu Lai - Truong Hai Complex continues to standardize and upgrade its R & D activities to create the driving force for production, bringing Science - Technology and Research - Application into regular activities to improve product quality, increase productivity towards ASEAN integration in 2018, realizing THACO's vision "Becoming a multi-disciplinary industrial group of Vietnam".
