The delegation visited the factories; listened to reports on the scientific research, and technology application at the Complex. THACO has been upgrading the machines and equipments, improving and changing technologies to increase the capacity at all factories; develop the auto, spare part, and component production and assembly towards better localization rate, participation in global value chain with international standards products (automobiles, spare parts, and components). Since 2011, there have been over 550 initiative projects applied at the Complex, which contribute to increase capacities and save production costs. THACO also organized many seminars and solutions to increase the results of business performance, development and research. National-level science and technology project "Research, design, and manufacture Vietnamese high-end sleeper buses" by THACO is implemented according to the planned schedule and achieves remarkable results. The Complex continues to apply 2 new science and technology projects to manufacture national-level science and technology products, thereby mastering the design and production technologies and improving science and technology quality of the products.

Chairman of the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment from the National Assembly, Mr Phan Xuan Dung highly appreciated the development pace and the ability to apply science and technique, and new technologies of THACO. He confirmed that the close cooperation with international auto sector and the ability to receive the technology transfer are the most feasible way to develop Vietnam automobile industry which has high hopes in THACO development. THACO's petitions and concerns regarding slow science and technology development strategy implementation, overabundance of official procedures which all lead to the slow approval of the science & technology projects ... will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and adjustment.
