THACO Chairman attends and awards winners at 22nd Road to Olympia final
After 52 weekly, monthly and quarterly matches, the 2022 Road to Olympia ended with the Oct. 2 final and found its 22nd winner.
THACO Chairman Tran Ba Duong awarded the $40,000 first prize to contestant Dang Le Nguyen Vu from Bac Duyen Ha High School (Thai Binh province). As the only finalist who doesn't attend a gifted school, Dang Le Nguyen Vu exerted great self-confidence and excellence in his comeback in the final question to win the 22nd championship. This was the first year that Road to Olympia's final round send its teleconference to Thai Binh province, Vu's hometown.
During the three sections Warming up, Overcoming obstacles, and Accelerating, the audience looked at a dauntless climber Nguyen Vu who was always moving forward. "Becoming a first-ever champion from Thai Binh, I think this will begin a new momentum that will nurture generations of talents for the province in the coming years", shared Vu with the press in the moment of his award acceptance.
The other 3 finalists were also confident, fearless and enthusiastic. Contestant Vu Nguyen Son – Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted won the second prize worth VND100 million. The two third prizes belonged to Bui Anh Duc - Son La High School for the Gifted (Son La province) and Vu Bui Dinh Tung - Tran Phu High School for the Gifted (Hai Phong province), VND50 million respectively.
As the show's sponsor, THACO expects the awards would endow the winners with the best learning conditions, and give them the motivation to keep growing their talent, embark on new journeys, and create values for themselves, their families and the society.
