The competition was held at 5 examination boards, attractede nearly 500 candidates from 58 groups in 25 occupations, most of which awere common occupations, having a large demand for human resources, meeting industrialization - modernization requirements and international integration, and staying in line with the development trend of modern science and technology. Results: 65 contestants were awarded first prize, 24 second prizes, and 57 third prizes, and 221 consolation prizes contestants. Quang Nam team took part in the contest in 4 occupations: automotive technology, welding, electrical installations, and fashion garment technology. In the team, there were 2 candidates from Chu Lai - Truong Hai Vocational College both winning the awards, including Vo Van Quang (THACO Truck Factory) winning the third prize in Automotive Technology, and Nguyen Phi Hung (THACO Bus Factory) winning the consolation prize in Welding. Both received the Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs.
