Chu Lai – Truong Hai Complex holds New Year’s Opening Ceremony 2016
At the event, Mr. Pham Van Tai, THACO Vice President deployed the complex’s manufacture plan in 2016. Accordingly, in 2016, the complex projects to assemble and manufacture 99,800 vehicles, up 36 percent compared to 2015 including 44,760 trucks, 3,250 buses, 50,600 passenger cars (Kia, Mazda, and Peugeot), 1,200 semitrailers, 2,190 special purpose vehicles. It is expected to contribute 14,000 billion dong to the state budget, 12,280 billion dong of which will be paid to Quang Nam budget, up 22 percent compared to 2015.
At the complex, in 2016, THACO will invest and upgrade auto assembly and spare part and component manufacture plants with the total investment value of 2,256 billion dong in order to increase the local content of THACO products, enhance spare part and component manufacture at Chu Lai to supply for the domestic market and serve exportation, upgrade and improve logistics services, support investors at Chu Lai Open Economic Zone, expand sea transportation market, exploit international and domestic container transportation, complete the plan of auto machinery IP, port and port logistics IP, Tam Hiep Urban Zone, and propose solutions to attract investors.
On behalf of THACO leaders, Chairman Tran Ba Duong presented his 11th message to all employees of the complex, stating clearly that 2016 is an important year in the three year strategy 2015-2017 in the preparation for ASEAN integration in 2018. THACO is required to create basic and essential values for the integration. The chairman requested all employees to be aware of their responsibilities and roles, innovate in thinking and action, enhance positive working attitude and professional knowledge, and make ultimate effort to fulfill their duties with the high devotion spirit, contributing to the development of THACO with the aim of becoming the leading multi-industry conglomerate in the ASEAN region with the auto industry as the mainstream.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quang, Secretary of Quang Nam Province’s Party Committee, congratulated THACO on its achievements and expressed his special impression about the development of THACO human resources, especially more than 7,000 employees from Quang Nam who are working at the complex, the leading auto manufacture and assembly center in Vietnam. He believed that, with its strong inner force, high determination, right and differential business strategy, distinctive human resources and management methods, THACO will gain more achievements and be confident in the integration process.
