In 2015, goods load/unloading services at the port gained over 100 billion VND when the import taxes via this port reached 4,627 billion VND. During the first quarter of 2016, services including ship towage, wharf, loading of containers, separate goods, etc. at the port achieved 40 billion VND, up 25 percent compared to the same period of 2015. In addition, import tax was 1,102 billion VND. Among this, there were 25 percent of the goods imported via the port coming from the investors outside Chu Lai Open Economic Zone.

For better services, the Ministry of Transport agrees to expand the port, which allows the port to receive ships with 20 thousand tonnes of weight. At the moment, the port is only able to receive 10-thousand-tonne ships. At the same time, the port will further invest in 1 Liebherr truck crane, 2 45-tonne cranes, 7,000-meter-square external glass warehouse, over-6,000-meter-square yard, etc.
