8 issues in the discussion of Vietnam Traffic Safety Conference 2016
The conference took place to report and discuss results of the scientific researches, practical experience in traffic safety and applicability in real life in Vietnam.
8 topics related to traffic and transport were focused in the conference including: Road traffic safety control; Road traffic infrastructure and organization; Road means of transport; Traffic participants; Behaviors after traffic accidents; Railway traffic safety; inland waterway traffic safety; International conference "Insurance issues in Vietnam traffic safety: Shortcomings and Solutions."
Besides, the meeting also discussed the shortcomings and proposed the amendments and finalization of the legal documents of Vietnam road traffic, particularly focusing on amending the Road Traffic Act 2008: protecting the safety of children while riding motorbikes, child safety seats in vehicles, seatbelt regulations, procedures for handling violations, define more clearly contract-tourism-fixed routes transport; the rules of traffic on highways; phone use while driving, etc.
With the view "Sharing social responsibility", THACO contributed 16 billion VND for the combined program to ensure traffic order and safety chaired by the National Traffic Safety Committee in the period 2016-2018.
