Supporting temporary and dilapidated housing elimination in Thai Binh province
On June 21, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thai Binh province wrapped up the temporary houses and dilapidated houses elimination for poor and near-poor households and the housing support for revolutionary contributors and martyrs' families projects.
Responding to the Prime Minister's call, Thai Binh Province initiated the campaign named "300 days to eliminate temporary houses, dilapidated houses and support housing for revolutionary contributors and martyrs' families." In just over 200 days, the province achieved its goal with over 3,000 households receiving new houses or repairs. The campaign costs exceeded 246.6 billion VND, in which THACO contributed 5 billion VND, supporting the construction of 100 houses, improving quality of life and ensuring social security for local residents.
Besides Thai Binh Province, THACO has accompanied other localities nationwide including Quang Nam, Dien Bien, and Lang Son in the "Temporary houses, dilapidated houses elimination" program, contributing its part in helping people settle down and improve their living conditions.
On this occasion, Mr. Bui Thanh Son, General Director of THACO AUTO Hung Yen received a certificate of merit granted by Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee recognizing THACO’s contributions to its housing support campaign.
Partnering with Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund to nurture young academic dreams
Previously, from June 17-19, THACO awarded nearly 500 Vu A Dinh scholarships to underprivileged, high-achieving ethnic minority students, children of fishermen, officers, and soldiers in coastal and island areas across Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, and Quang Ngai provinces in central Vietnam.
Established in 1999, the Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund belongs to the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, chaired by former Vietnamese Vice President Truong My Hoa. After 25 years, the Fund has widened learning opportunities to thousands of students and pupils, while supporting their families economically.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary and the 75th death anniversary of Martyr Vu A Dinh, the Fund plans to grant 8,000 scholarships worth 8 billion VND to students nationwide this year.
Through these initiatives, THACO not only strengthens its social responsibility but also embraces humanistic values by helping others build stable lives as well as young generations pursue their academic dreams, accompanying the country's sustainable development.
