The course was trying to explain the scientific problem-solving principles and methods, how to detect problems from different perspectives, challenge the status quo by asking questions to find out the root cause, and apply the 5 Whys method to solve practical problems.

The 5 Whys is a method of asking "why" questions consecutively to examine a problem or event until the root cause is identified, from which the solvers can find solutions to overcome the problem and prevent it from repeating.

After the course, the learners can now apply the 5 Whys method into their production and business operations at the factories and units to quickly find out the causes, localize the impacts, and timely handling the issues, helping to save costs and improve efficiency.
