THACO AUTO Chu Lai organizes “5 core tools in the quality management system” training for managers and senior executives
In the face of widespread global free trade, businesses pay special attention to management methods to control and improve product quality, save costs, reduce product prices, and create their competitive edges in the market. To improve the knowledge and skills of quality management at the automotive manufacturing factories in THACO AUTO Complex, on Mar. 11 and 15, THACO AUTO Chu Lai cooperated with THACO College to organize the course “5 core tools in the quality management system (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP)” for 50 managers and executives in charge of technical, quality management and inspection departments.
“5 core tools in the quality management system” is the required items to form a specialized quality management system in the auto industry according to the IATF 16949:2016 standards (issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Automotive Task Force (IATF) in October 2016). In the course, the trainees were equipped with knowledge and skills to analyze goals, the principles and methods to apply the 5 tools in the quality management system, including: APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), FMEA (Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
The course has helped the learners better understand the methods to apply the 5 core tools in production practices, e.g. planning quality control and understanding control charts, analyzing the measurement system, structures, functions, identifying product errors and suggesting optimal solutions. By doing so, the company can meet product's technical and quality requirements, improve productivity, eliminate waste, while ensuring the IATF 16949:2016 standards, speeding up to deeper join the global value chain.
