“Football is a way to express culture, unity and pride of a country”
Channeling the words of Japanese soccer legend Hidetoshi Nakata, Mr. Nguyen Mot, THACO's Corporate Culture and Communication Senior Director, emphasized, "Football goes beyond the realm of mere sport. It is a way to express culture, unity, and pride of a country."
The Vietnamese Youth Football Tournament - THACO Cup 2024 kicked off its final round on March 16 with an opening ceremony held at Ton Duc Thang University stadium.

The ceremony was graced by leaders from government agencies, departments, and branches; representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation; universities and colleges; and sponsoring companies. Over 100 finalists participated, along with a crowd of more than 5,000 cheering spectators who filled the stadium.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Mot, THACO's Corporate Culture and Communication Senior Director said: "THACO takes pride in our role as the main sponsor of the THACO Cup 2024. After more than 3 months of competition, the tournament has reached its final round with excellent teams. I believe that the final round will be more exciting than ever as the young athletes embody the very spirit of Vietnam's youth, the nation's future and the strong passion for the "king" sport."
“We hope the tournament will bring a valuable playground for students from universities, colleges, and academies across Vietnam, and aim for larger-scale regional tournaments in the future. On behalf of the THACO Board of Directors, we encourage all participating students to compete with determination, solidarity, and a pursuit of excellence, leaving their mark on each match," Mr. Nguyen Mot added.

The THACO Cup 2024 Tournament's final round will take place March 16 through 31. Eleven teams, divided into three groups, will compete for the championship title. The top two teams from each group, along with the third-place teams from Groups B and C, will advance to the quarter-final matches. All matches will be held at the Ton Duc Thang University stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.
