THACO donates medical supplies to Ho Chi Minh police in fighting Covid-19

THACO on July 3 donated medical supplies to the HCMC police department in the efforts of easing the Covid-19 pandemic.


Facing the widespread of Covid-19 outbreaks, especially in HCM City with many untraced community cases, different Covid-19 prevention and contact tracing measures are being carried out urgently throughout cities.

The police are one of the frontline Covid-19 prevention forces who are vigorously trying their best to manage the tracing and to protect law and order in the society. Therefore, to share with their difficulties and to help protect their safety on the job, THACO has supported protective equipment and medical supplies, including rapid test kits, protective gears, masks, anti-droplet glasses, gloves, disinfectants and quick hand sanitizers worth VND5 billion (equivalent to over USD200,000).

Over the years, THACO has engaged in diverse social activities and programs. Up to now, the Vietnamese company has contributed to social works more than VND1 trillion (over USD43 million), which means VND80 billion (over USD3 million) per year. Especially, since the beginning of Covid-19 outbreaks in Vietnam, the corporation has supported more than VND100 billion (over USD4 million) for Covid-19 preparedness and prevention throughout the country.

THACO is committed to complying with epidemic prevention and control measures to both overcome the pandemic safely and to keep up sustainable growth in line with the State’s regulations, as well as supporting Covid-19 prevention activities across Vietnam.
